• After running the installation program, and icon will appear in the upper right corner of your macintosh.

• Click on the phone icon and scroll down to FreePPP setup

• Click on the down arrow to display the features of the setup.

• Under General, click on Modem Setup.

• Verify your modem setup:
  • Printer port or modem port
  • Tone or pulse
  • Select preferences you would like including hangup on disconnect
  • Use init string from account configuration

• Click on the General tab and select your personal preferences for the setup.

• Click on the Accounts tab and click on New.
  • Under server name enter goldinc
  • Under phone number enter 965-xxxx, 363-xxxx or 396-xxxx
  • Under connect, select "using connection script"
  • Click edit connection script
  • On the first line, leave blank and click on Return
  • On the second line, select wait and enter n: (space after the colon)
  • On the third line, select send and enter our login name and select Return
  • On the fourth line, select wait and enter d: (space after the colon)
  • On the fifth line, select send and enter your password and select Return
  • On the sixth line, select wait and enter e: (space after the colon)
  • On the seventh line, select send and enter ppp (note lower case) and select Return
  • Click on Okay to accept script and then select the Connection tab
  • Set port speed at the highest possible speed for your computer
  • Set flow control to CTS only (or try CTS and RTS)
  • Enter an appropriate modem init string such as atz
  • Click on Okay to accept the connection settings and then click on the Options tab
  • Leave all lines BLANK and just make sure there is a bullet in the spot for IP address for assigned by PPP server. (Do not enter domain information as this comes from your MacTCP)
  • Click on Okay to accept these settings.
  • Usually the default settings for location are acceptable for Home

• You have completed the setup for FreePPP 2.5!
