Meet Reg and Margie Morken, resident innkeepers and owners of the Palm House. After two years of renovations and restorations to this historical 100+-year-old home, we look forward to sharing the Palm House with each of our guests.

     Reg retired with 37 years experience as a Quality Control Lab Supervisor and enjoys demonstrating his culinary, gardening, cleaning and hosting skills to our guests.

     Margie's previous work experience includes the medical profession and Human Resources Manager for a major corporation. She is ready to assist you in any way possible to make sure that your stay is enjoyable with a warm welcome, good food, and comfortable surroundings in true "southern hospitality" style.

     A family of seven children and ten grandchildren has definitely provided lots of experience for the role of innkeepers.

    Welcome to the Palm House in the heart of our historic Old Town Bay St. Louis, MS. We invite you to relax and enjoy a romantic or fun-filled getaway in the surroundings of a completely restored 19th century (circa 1893) West Indies styled Planter's Home, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

     The Palm House is a great example of the wonderful architecture of days gone by. Lovingly restored to its former beauty, the Palm House has beautiful hardwood floors, high ceilings and crown moldings and is filled with a mixture of antiques and modern furnishings and amenities that invite you sit and read, play the piano, work a puzzle or simply enjoy the beautiful porch, patio, garden and swings at a leisurely pace.
